| Important kit notes (for Sport
Springs) |
1) The amount
of lowering will be reduced on vehicles fitted with Original Sport
Suspension / OEM.
2) The lowering of the front axle depends on the vehicle specification
and weight of the engine.
3) For fine tuning, please refer to the original Daimler Benz spring
isolators available in different heights (8-23mm).
4) A TUV presentation is necessary despite ABE for vehicles with a
'load depending' brake power distributor.
5) Sedan without self-leveling, Estate / Station Wagon / Combi with
self-leveling.
6) Additional lowering may occur on vehicles equipped with automatic
transmissions.
7) Not for Station Wagons / Combi / Estates.
8) Up to 8.79 please use spring seat no. 171412341A.
Excludes 4-wheel drive.
10) As of 9.1994 original Volkswagen springs seats might be necessary:
1H0412341 (big) or 357412341A (small).
11) Not suitable for Serial / Original Sport Suspension (OEM).
12) Front springs only, torsion bars on the rear axle. |
13) All
wheel / tyre combinations are allowed which have been approved by
the ABE or other certified Wheel Testing Institutes (Germany, Austria,
Switzerland).
14) If RH drive shaft diameter is bigger than 42mm and when lowering
40mm or more, the RH drive shaft may foul the anti roll bar. If so
you will need to fit a modified anti-roll bar or a longer steering
rod from your VW/Audi dealer.
15) Excludes self-leveling.
16) Front & rear dampers are externally adjustable.
17) Front dampers are externally adjustable.
18) Rear dampers are externally adjustable.
19) Rear dampers must be removed from car before they can be adjusted.
20) excl. Cooper "S".
21) Front: threaded housing with adjustable spring seat.
22) Rear: threaded housing with adjustable spring seat.
23) Rear: ride height adjustable (adapter).
