The songs from the Let's Go to Bed and Lovecats singles on the WG CD pressing sounded more or less identical to the Sire LP, interestingly enough. But those Walk songs sound awful, which is disappointing, especially since for me, The Walk EP is probably my very favorite Cure release, and I kind of wanted to have those songs on CD.

The label seems to have had some poor soul transcribe it from scratch. Hilarity ensues. It's at least 50% accurate and 85% complete. The remaining 15% is just lines of frustrated question marks. However, when I got home and played it, I was a bit dismayed at what I heard. In a 2004 interview with Rolling Stone, Smith detailed what contributed to the shift in style. “I didn’t want that side of life anymore; I wanted to do something that’s really kind of cheerful.
