I'll stick with semi or temporary wash in tonal dyes for the moment until I have decided on the colourway I'm going for.

If you are planning on putting another colour on top I would strongly suggest leaving it for as long as you can, e. The instructions do say not to colour your hair for 2 weeks after using it,this is because re-dying your hair too soon will makeit oxidise, and you'll end up back dark again. I did not leave mine the full hour namely as I know my hair and felt after 45 minutes this was adequate. If it is like the first round of mine (the second picture is after using 2 boxes for one round of colour B4) you need another box.however within a day, i realised my hair had darkened down to a light chestnut 🙁 i only rinsed for the minimum amount of time recommended so it must be to do with this. Also I would suggest putting on a nice smelling hair mask (not that the smell makes any difference to the horrific stench of eggs and fart!I think the day of the treatment you can smell it faintly on your hair, but by day 2 and after another shampoo, I didn't smell anything and the people around me didn't notice it either.
