Not considered safe I don't consider this a safe product. The safety slider does not fit over the blade until you are down to the last of the item you are trying to slice. You have to hold the say, cucumber, until you are at the last little bit. I have had slicers before, may have been old fashioned but safer.
Dishwasher safe, this mandoline will save you time and effort preparing salads, slicing potatoes for gratin or dauphinoise, or cooking up a deliciously sweet tarte tatin. The traveller Compact & good value Compact , looks easy to use. Time will tell as I haven’t used it yet !
