The Fountain Factory Water Table is an exciting new water table that brings science and engineering to life – with the help of interchangeable pipes and fittings – making play and fun endless. It features 2 troughs, giving you the choice of filling one with sand and one with water – or fill both with sand or water. There are 2 different troughs to choose from, as well as 6 accessories to help you enjoy the best play time ever. The plug, although fiddly to get into place, makes it so easy to empty the water after playing without getting it all over myself!Update) When new the Fountain Factory looks bright and clean, but if your children are anything like mine it wont stay that way. The instructions show you how to put the table together in one way but really, you can ignore a lot of it and play around with the set up. To use most of the functions you need to pump the water which makes it go into the funnel and runs down the central bubble column.

At two and a half years old, my daughter is very much at the lower end of who it is aimed at as she has neither the strength nor inclination to keep pressing the pump that is required to flow the water and work most of the functions, so this task fell to mummy!
Once T got a hold of it he really enjoyed being able to take things apart and put them back together again without needing help from mummies. Don't make the mistake of leaving water in it either as the tubes etc are really hard to rinse through. She was quite easily able to manipulate different sections to get the water to do what she wanted according to her imaginative play. It’s a great height for my recently turned two year old although she has to stand on her tip toes if she wants to pour water into the funnel. What’s more is that the generous size of the table means that more than one person can enjoy the table without cramping each other.
Our old one had two sides and a couple of cups to play with so it really wasn’t very interesting at all. The Little Tikes Fountain Factory Water Table has interchangeable parts to help children experience STEM learning.
