About this deal

Immunocal Preserves Cellular GSH and Prevents Apoptosis in CGNs Exposed to the Bcl-2 Inhibitor, HA14-1 IMMUNOCAL is a natural food supplement and as such is limited from stating medical claims per se. Statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. As such, this product is thus not intended to diagnose, cure, prevent or treat any disease. Although various guidelines present somewhat different glycemic control targets, most guidelines recommend that the glycemic control target should be individualized on the basis of patients’ clinical characteristics [ 1 , 17 , 65]. The threshold for initiating treatment of abnormal lipid levels and the optimal goals of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) may differ according to ethnicity or population. The KDA [ 1] and JDS [ 65] guidelines recommend a somewhat less stringent LDL-C target goal in patients with type 2 DM ( Table 1). The JDS guidelines recommend that the primary goal of anti-lipidemic therapy is to control the LDL-C level to <120 mg/dL in patients without a history of coronary artery disease [ 65]. There is no target value of LDL-C in the ADA guidelines. However, there are recommendations on the intensity of statin therapy according to the CV risk; for patients with diabetes aged 40 to 75 years without ASCVD, moderate-intensity statin therapy should be used. High-intensity statin therapy will achieve approximately a 50% reduction in LDL-C, and moderate-intensity statin regimens achieve 30% to 49% reductions in LDL-C. Brain cancer. There are two approved types of targeted antibodies for brain and nervous system cancers. Researchers are testing several others in clinical trials to find out if immunotherapy might work where other treatments have failed. Nucleotides are critical for cellular development and also crucial in the development of the immune system.

A framework for the follow-up treatment of an individual with type 1 diabetes. Modified from Holt et al. [ 53]. CGM, continuous glucose monitoring. The American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE) published an updated guideline for available advanced diabetes technology in 2021 without updating their other guidelines on comprehensive type 2 diabetes management [ 16 , 17]. Clinical practice guidelines for this rapidly evolving field, encompassing CGM, insulin pump management, and the integration of CGM and pump therapy, have also been published. According to the AACE guideline on new diabetes technology, CGM is recommended for all people with diabetes treated with intensive insulin therapy, defined as three or more injections per day or use of an insulin pump [ 16 , 17]. It plays a fundamental role in numerous metabolic and biochemical reactions such as DNA synthesis and repair, protein synthesis, prostaglandin synthesis, amino acid transport and enzyme activation. Thus, every system in the body can be affected by the state of the glutathione system, especially the immune system, the nervous system, the gastrointestinal system and the lungs.

Whey protein concentrate (WPC) and glutathione modulation in cancer treatment. Anticancer Res. 20:4785-4792,2000 Prof Camilla Svensson from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, who was also involved in the study, said: “Antibodies from people with fibromyalgia living in two different countries, the UK and Sweden, gave similar results, which adds enormous strength to our findings.” For mild to moderate health challenges, 20 grams per day is recommended. Clinical trials in patients with AIDS, COPD, cancer and chronic fatigue syndrome have used 30-40 grams per day without ill effect. IMMUNOCAL is best administered on an empty stomach or with a light meal. Concomitant intake of another high protein load may adversely affect absorption. RECONSTITUTION Immune system modulators, which enhance the body’s immune response against cancer. Some of these agents affect specific parts of the immune system, whereas others affect the immune system in a more general way.

FASEB J: 11(13):1077-1089, 1997 Both the 2016 and 2019 Japan Diabetes Society (JDS) clinical practice guidelines include diagnostic criteria for fulminant type 1 DM, unlike other guidelines [ 65]. Patients with fulminant type 1 diabetes frequently develop ketosis or ketoacidosis within 1 week of the onset of hyperglycemia, require insulin therapy immediately, and are characterized as having lower A1C values relative to their glucose values. Patients with fulminant type 1 diabetes are expected to have casual blood glucose values 288 mg/dL or higher and A1C values <8.7%, fasting C-peptide values <0.3 ng/mL, and post-glucagon load or 2-hour postprandial C-peptide values <0.5 ng/mL. Affected individuals are expected to test negative for islet autoantibodies [ 66]. It is the major endogenous antioxidant produced by the cells, participating directly in the neutralization of free radicals and reactive oxygen compounds, as well as maintaining exogenous antioxidants such as vitamins C and E in their reduced (active) forms.Graph shows the IgG content of a number of brands of colostrum supplements – from Corke MJ, Cattle Practice 2012. Calves acquire passive immunity through their mothers' colostrum. Natural colostrum contains globular proteins called immunoglobulins (IgG/A/M/Y) which give immunity to bacteria and viral diseases many of which are prevalent in the environment of a newborn calf. These proteins, when included at the right level, provide passive immunity for the animal and help to keep the calf alive and healthy. Neuroinflammation, in which microglia and astrocytes take on an inflammatory phenotype and secrete toxic factors such as cytokines and nitric oxide, is another major component of neurodegenerative disease [ 57, 58]. Induction of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) and subsequent production of nitric oxide is a well-established mechanism by which inflammatory cells trigger neuronal cell death [ 57]. Markers of nitrosative stress are prevalent in tissues from both Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease patients, indicating a significant role for nitric oxide in disease pathogenesis [ 59, 60]. Reactive nitrogen species (RNS) such as nitric oxide promote damage to mitochondrial components, leading to dissipation of mitochondrial membrane potential and further increases in ROS and RNS production [ 42, 43]. This feed forward cycle ultimately exacerbates inflammatory responses and eventually results in neuronal death. GSH is known to detoxify both ROS and RNS, making it an essential antioxidant and key neuroprotective molecule. Consistent with this, preincubation with Immunocal significantly protected CGNs from toxicity induced by the nitric oxide donor SNP. Lothian B, Grey V, Kimoff RJ, Lands. Treatment of obstructive airway disease with a cysteine donor protein supplement: a case report. Chest 117:914-916, 2000 Our big Immucol success story. We had a seriously premature cria born (over 5 weeks prem) with not a lot of life in it and of course it was one of our best!! The dam had very little interest and would not allow us to milk her. With little hope of bottle feeding working we brought the dam in with the cria and fed 60ml of Immucol, this we did every two – three hours for about 36 hours right through the night (we did not change to milk after 24 hours because we more worried about its energy levels and hypothermia). The good news is after what felt like an eternity we went in the barn only to see the cria feeding from the dam who had showed minimal interest up until our last feed. The dam obviously didn’t rate our chances but with the cria becoming more energised she started to show a bit more interest as the cria gained strength and started to move around. New born calves are particularly prone to antioxidant deficiency. Symptoms may appear at any time from just after birth up to several weeks. Antioxidant levels in the diet of the mother can often be low and variable. Studies of vitamin E levels in silage confirm this. Transfer across the placenta is typically poor and many calves are born with critically low levels. This compromises the immune system, may result in heart failure and frequently render the calf too weak to be viable. Peterson JD, Herzenberg LA, Vasquez KK, Waltenbaugh C. Glutathione levels in antigen-presenting cells modulate Th1 versus Th2 response patterns. Proc.Natl. Acad. NSC34 cells were preincubated with Immunocal for 24h prior to exposure to H 2O 2 or glutamate. For glutamate experiments, NSC34 cells were differentiated by withdrawing serum for 7 days prior to experimentation. Cells treated with Immunocal display healthy neuronal morphology. Cells were left untreated (a) or treated with Immunocal alone (b) and assessed for overall health and appearance. Left-hand panels are representative images of cell nuclei stained with DAPI.
