Should the High Lords of Terra choose, they may appoint a notable individual to command a full Crusade. Such honourees are given the weighty rank of Warmaster.

He was captured during the Roxane Rebellion by rebel forces, only to be rescued by the Donian General Macharius. After the battle and Macharius' victory over the rebels, Phillips made Macharius his successor as the lord commander solar. Phillips was later killed in action during the Lemort Landings.By the looks of the model, his helmet is probably an Iron Halo too, or a refractor field of some kind. Not unusual for important imperials.
