About this deal

Whitley Bay Ice Rink Management said the following: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Hand as Head Coach for Whitley Warriors for next season. Tony is arguably one of the best players Britain has produced and with him comes a wealth of knowledge and extensive coaching experience. We are confident with Tony at the helm, the Warriors will be challenging for league and cup trophies. Tony has also expressed his desire to form a close relationship with our Juniors to develop the future Warriors. Willie has amassed boundless managerial experience running Murrayfield Racers and we look forward to working with Tony and Willie for what will be an exciting season ahead.” Appointed as Fierte Trust Lead Practitioner in November 2021, Claire Keay’s role is to work across Academies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. Claire is passionate about all children flourishing as confident, knowledgeable, and reflective life-long learners who are never afraid of challenge or making mistakes due to their love of learning which is fostered by their teachers. Claire started teaching in 1998 and has held wide ranging teaching and leadership roles in Primary schools for over twenty years. Claire has enjoyed phase leader, History, Science and English subject leader responsibilities as well as leading in the role of Assistant Head, Deputy Head and as Headteacher. Throughout, teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum have been at the heart of Claire’s roles due to her expertise in these areas. Previously, Claire has also led the Power of Coaching, Improving and Outstanding Teacher programmes for primary and secondary teachers in her role as an Olevi trained facilitator. Claire believes in the potential of all (children, teachers, leaders, parents). Relationships, belief, trust and care along with the highest of expectations will ensure that self-esteem blossoms, challenge is embraced and thinking, learning and knowledge are deepened and secured minute by minute.

We will work in partnership with the juniors to create a pathway for good local talent into the Warriors setup, as that must be the future of the club. I would like to thank the owners and management of the Rink for giving me this post and I was very impressed with their vision of what the future brings for the team.” In his autobiography, Hand wrote that this was perhaps a mistake and that perhaps he should have re-negotiated the offer. In the foreword, Sather expressed his disappointment that "he didn't accept my deal because he could have advanced in North America. His progress would have been celebrated." Indeed, Sather also says "At the training camp I could see that he had a great ability to read the ice and he was the smartest player there other than Wayne Gretzky. He skated well: his intelligence on the ice stood out. He was a real prospect." Hand returned in October 1987 for Murrayfield's first ill-fated trip onto the continent to play in the IIHF's European Cup where, after beating Bulgarian side Slavia Sofia in a preliminary round, the semi-pro team from Scotland were thrashed by full-time sides from the Netherlands, Sweden and (Germany). Michael is a Whitley Warriors and Sheffield Steeldogs fan and says he’d love to hear Andre Payette on the show clear of second placed Coventry Blaze, and then went on to complete the double by beating the Coventry Blaze 8-7 in a two legged Playoff Final. Tony Hand Height, Weight & Measurements

The following season was a disappointing one for Hand as Murrayfield won only one trophy, the Capital Foods Scottish Cup and Great Britain could only finish fifth in the Pool C competition in Denmark. On a personal front, Hand scored his 600th league goal against Durham Wasps and a record 11 assists against Trafford Metros in the quarter-final stage of the Norwich Union Cup. Overall, he scored 85 goals and 147 assists for Murrayfield in 52 games plus 9 goals and 12 assists in 8 games for the GB side.

Plus I’ll be continually posting to Patreon, Videos and Podcasts that are exclusive to You, my Patrons. Tony viewed Dundee as an opportunity to take his career to the next stage and became the Stars first coach.

Age, Biography and Wiki

He is currently single. He is not dating anyone. We don't have much information about He's past relationship and any previous engaged. According to our Database, He has no children. Family Podnieks, Andrew (25 April 2017). "A league of their own: IIHF Hall of Fame names 20th induction class". IIHF . Retrieved 22 March 2019. After his time in Ayr, Tony was approached by Michael Ward, who together with his brother, Stephen Ward, wanted Tony to become player coach of their new Dundee Stars team. In the Spring of this year (2018) it was announced that Tony’s first club, the Murrayfield Racers had reformed. It was perhaps his laser-like passing that made him the ultimate team player. His linemates, whether British or foreign, invariably enjoyed a career scoring season when TH was setting them up.

Forgive us if we write some of the figures here again as they are frankly astounding: 1,748 games played, 1,642 goals scored, 2,992 assists, 4,634 points. And this is just in domestic games in the major competitions. We’ve had to omit, for reasons of space, European Cup games, junior GB internationals, Scottish Cups, GB friendlies, and on and on.

Staff training is another key part of Linda’s role and she endeavours to ensure that we go above and beyond to cover all legal training required along with good staff development. Linda has worked within the school environment for twelve years and before that had several roles within the hospitality industry, this has given her a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to which she now uses every day and the ability from that to be able to think outside the box when developing the catering experience.

Despite the interest of other British clubs, Hand returned to play for the Racers, where he won his first Heineken League Premier title, the Regal Scottish Cup and Scottish League. He broke the 200-league-point barrier for the first time, scoring 105 goals and 111 assists in 35 games, and scored his 300th career goal against Nottingham Panthers in February 1987. However, the Racers lost in the play-offs to Durham Wasps. He also won a bronze medal with the Great Britain Under-21s in Pool C of the World Championships in Denmark.Despite stiff competition from established teams such as Coventry, Fife and Guildford the Stars romped the league by 12 points Only 18 at the time (1986), he declined the opportunity to play in North America, preferring to return home to Scotland. He made his senior debut on 20 September 1981, at the age of fourteen against the Fife Flyers when the Murrayfield Racers had a player shortage. [1] He gained his first point against the Billingham Bombers on 17 October 1981, with an assist to a Chris Kelland goal. He finished the 1981/82 season having played 19 games, scoring 4 goals and adding 7 assists for 11 points. He followed it up the following year with 20 goals and 22 assists, a total of 42 points, in 24 games. So, a very BIG thank you to Michael and also to my other Patreon Patron’s, to Tommy Boll, Oscar Brownsword, Colin Dunn, Tony Harrison, Jim Murden, Jeff Povey and Chris Saddington for their continued support.
