About this deal

Includes: detachable RCA output cable (3.5 mm male to dual RCA male), 45 RPM adapter, and removable hinged dust cover

Three stars may appear harsh for a budget product offering so much in the way of functionality. If you were buying it based on price and features alone, it would be good value for money, but the AT-LP60XBT just falls short of our being able to recommend it to those semi-serious about their vinyl. If you are building a vinyl setup from scratch, it might be worth considering using powered speakers with the AT-LP60X The AT-LP60XBT-USB comes with a 45 RPM adapter, a removable hinged dust cover, and an AC adapter, which reduces noise by moving the AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis where its impact on the signal chain is limited. Of course, the AT-LP60XBT can also be operated just like a regular turntable with a traditional wired connection. Either way – wired or wireless – you get outstanding audio with the ease of automatic operation controlled by front-panel start, stop and tonearm lift buttons. Pairing is swift and, once established, proved sturdy well up to the 10-metre range that Audio-Technica suggests is its maximum. Throughout the testing of its wireless performance, the XBT didn’t once even hint at letting the connection fail.I have played records with my AT-LP60XBT to my wireless Beats Studio headphones. The pairing process was smooth and the sound is quite nice. Sound Moving to a dedicated phono stage offers a nice upgrade path. With a Cambridge Audio Duo connected, the bass firmed up and the upper registers came into a clearer focus. I haven't heard the Schitt Mani but it doesn't seem unreasonable to spend the same as the Audio-Technica again on a good phono preamp -- especially when the AT already gives you so much turntable for so little. Easy like Sunday morning With it’s fully automatic functionality, it’s plug and play design (thanks to a built a phono preamp) and the various colors the record player comes in, the AT-LP60X is a perfect option for any beginner that values convenience in the world of vinyl. Best Selling Turntables If you have the AT-LP60XBT and want to play music wirelessly with Bluetooth, let’s say to wireless headphones, then you first have to set both devices in pairing mode so that find each other. When the turntable and headphones are paired, you can enjoy playing records wirelessly.

Let’s talk a bit about how easy it is to set this turntable up, and then we’ll get into the features of this record player and how they can benefit you. TWO SPEEDS: The LP60X can play both 33 rpm and 45 rpm records. A simple switch allows you to choose the turntable speed and the record size. Mind you, I’d expect some prospective customers will be encouraged by how compact the Audio-Technica is – its tidy dimensions make it a lot less obtrusive than some more sturdy designs. And the mild updating of its appearance over the outgoing AT-LP60BT makes it look marginally more upmarket, too. But I think the AT-LP60X looks quite nice. Most people would probably guess that I have paid more for it than I actually have.Dust cover, Felt mat, Platter (with drive belt), 45 RPM adapter, RCA audio cable (approx. 1.2 m (3.9')), AC adapter (approx. 1.5 m (4.9')) The AT-LP60XBT is fitted with a switchable phono stage, which pre-amplifies the feeble signal output from a turntable up to a level where it can be dealt with by any line-level input on an amplifier. If your amplifier is well specified enough to include a phono input, though, the XBT’s phono stage can be turned off. I’ve outlined several key similarities and differences between these two models, but there’s a couple addition improvements when it comes to the LP60X that I want to point out.
