Filling the squonk bottle is simple and mess free but done from underneath as it is a bottom fill device, you will see what looks like a battery latch door similar to some Aegis mods, (a tiny magnet keeps the loop in nicely in place). Now its not the end of the world, but with convenience always on my mind, its a little annoying that I have to constantly adjust my hands to squonk, and then re-adjust to fire. The Vandy Vape proprietary chipset, the Vandy Chip, is remarkable. The chipset provides responsive and precise vaping.

I’m pleased to say the menu options are super simple to navigate and understand, and I’ve always liked the option to add or remove power mods.And, this weird-looking metal tool that has a curled/hooked end, which to be honest, I wasn’t able to see its clear purpose.

This ‘ refined‘ version of the Pulse definitely has some improvements over its predecessors that brings it up to date with most of the other single battery squonk mods that have been released this year and overall it does a good job. The next part is update here you can update the firmware via your phone, you can also change the UI but at present there is nothing to update or change.

To squonk, its actually a little awkward due to the bottle being a little more recessed within the device than I would Like. Because of the position of the bottle as well, and the size of the mod you have to intentionally move your hand to position your thumb or finger in place to squeeze the bottle.

The other options in the menu let you set the time before the device goes into hibernation, adjust the screen brightness, reset the puff counter, or change the color of the UI. If you’re in one of the TC modes, this menu will also let you set your coil resistance and adjust the TCR. Vandy Vape are here with the newest addition to the Pulse line of vapes. The Pulse V2 Squonk Box Mod is the latest collaboration between Vandy Vape and Tony B, and it performs better than ever. The Pulse V2 Squonk mod features a single high-amp battery, compatible with a 20700 or 21700 battery which gives this pod a maximum output of 95W. This is more than enough power to keep you vaping all day long. It makes sense to use a regulated squonk mod if you want to use an RDA and squonk, but still want the safety and customizability of a regulated mod. The two G10 Panels on each side are easily removable to expose the battery compartment and squonk bottle.

The VandyVape Pulse 2 fires really well and really fast, especially with a mesh dripper on top. I’ve no real complaints with regards to the power output from this device. But for the geek in me, this is a fun thing to show your friends and play around with some clever settings.
