I’ve arrived at the end of this review liking the Sceptre Tube kit a whole lot more than I had expected.I have quite a few tube kits but this one really found its place for RDL and uses the superb S-Coils.The proof of the pudding and all that; I will be using this one well beyond the review period. Following the vastly popular original Sceptre Pod Kit, Innokin has released the updated Sceptre 2. With an upgraded 1400mAh battery and a stunning new design. Push the slider to the lowest position for the most restricted (tightest) airflow setting, or move it up fully for the least restricted (loosest) setting. Of course you can select any setting in-between too. Discover the Innokin SCEPTRE Pod System, featuring a 1400mAh battery, intelligent coil identification, and can use restricted DL or MTL vaping coils. Featuring a nifty Boost mode to ramp up vapor delivery and heat, the Innokin SCEPTRE can deliver large clouds of vapor with the 0.5ohm restricted direct lung coil or switch to the 1.2ohm MTL Coil for intensely flavored vapor. Featuring a 1400mAh rechargeable battery, the Innokin SCEPTRE Pod System can deliver plenty of vapor throughout the day. Utilizing a refillable pod, the Sceptre Pod System can change coils by removing the bottom of the magnetized pod.

As usual this will vary according to your own vaping habits, power level, coil resistance etc. But to give you a guide… Another great update is the fact you no longer have to remove the pod to change the airflow setting. There is a simple slide adjustment located on the side of the pod. For RDL Vapers the Sceptre 0.5ohm RDL coil is provided and set the airflow switch to the RDL setting. Charging took a few minutes either side of 2 hours every time with a 2A charging plug. Obviously the charger output is reduced to match the capability of the mod. How To Fill the PodThe first coil I tried was the 0.6ohm included in the kit which crapped out on me after only a few refills – so I was pretty disappointed. The 5-ohm mesh RDL coil works at 18 or 20 watts and is designed to deliver a restricted direct-to-lung hit with lower-nicotine e-liquids.

You can select from two output levels –“Standard” and “Boost” and the actual output varies depending on which coil is installed: If you’re still having trouble getting your Innokin Sceptre to work, the next thing that you should do is try removing and reseating the atomizer coil. The most common reason why an Innokin Sceptre doesn’t vape is because the atomizer coil is only partially screwed in. If you’re still having trouble and are certain that the atomizer coil is firmly seated, you should replace the coil. Innokin Sceptre Gurgling As you use the Innokin Sceptre, you’re going to find that the flavour changes over time. Usually, you’ll find that you can use an atomizer coil for several days before it requires replacement – and when you’re no longer happy with the flavour you get when vaping, it’s time for a new coil. I would recommend this for new vapers who need a strong nic hit – but they might be put off by the coil change aspect – so not for complete technophobes.

What To Expect From Innokin Sceptre Pod Kit…

You can select from two different airflow options to suit your preference – the MTL (Mouth To Lung) setting gives a tighter airflow and the RDL (Restricted Direct To Lung) is a looser airflow. The key to great vaping is in the coils! Choose low wattage 1.2ohm MTL or higher wattage 0.5ohm RDL coils, then adjust the airflow on the side of the pod to match your vaping style. The Sceptre detects the coil and adjusts the wattage automatically. Press the button, or puff to activate the Sceptre, and vape your way! Both coils are made out of Kanthal, with the 0.5-ohm coil being mesh while the 1.2-ohm coil regular round wire. Note that the 1.2-ohm coil is gold while the 0.5-ohm coil is silver, so it is easy to distinguish between them even when they are inside the pod. Now onto the 0.5oHm coil which on the normal setting gives you 18W,and on boost gives you 20W. Loaded with Strawberry Milkshake, I gave it a whirl. I found my best settings were against with the boost and you can really choose with this coil what kind of vape you want. You can get a nice tight MTL draw from this with the airflow shut down, or you can get an equally nice RDL draw from it with the airflow fully open. I found myself using the airflow fully open for a nice restricted direct to lung vape with nice flavour, but I do wish the boost had added more than 2Wto give a warmer vape, but it was still a really nice smooth vape.

Make sure to fill the pod before use or else you will burn your coil out! Innokin Sceptre Pod Kit Basic Operation When the pod is installed – the pod light allows you to just about see the e-liquid level at the side of the pod but most of the pod is obscured by the mod body. The Sceptre features standard 1A charging, so it does not support the Fast Charging feature. Fast Charging is a feature seen in our premium devices which allow you to use a 2A wall charger and high quality USB-C or microUSB cable to charge your device. 2A charges devices faster than a standard 1Amp or .5Amp charger. Make sure that your Innokin device is Fast Charging compatible before you charge your device with a fast charger. Never leave your device unattended while charging. For MTL vapers the Innokin Sceptre 1.2ohm MTL coil is provided and the airflow switch on the side of the pod can be set to the MTL position to restrict the airflow the most.

Customer Questions & Answers

Above the fire button are the LED indicators, 2 for power level and 1 for battery level. These are clear to see but not easy to see whilst vaping. With 1.2ohm coil I used CrazyCloudzzz CrazySaltzzz Bubblegum 50/50 VG/PG with 20mg Nicotine Salt strength. I was very impressed with the power regulation, even down to the last few vapes before the battery died there was no loss of power!
