About this deal

Because the pan is buttered and hot when you pour on the batter, without a crepe spreader, you really only have a few seconds to swirl the batter around.

A Crêpe is a traditional French Pancake made from 3 basic ingredients: Flour, Eggs and a liquid; usually Milk. In France, they are served as either a sweet dessert (with the addition of sugar) or a savoury dish (no sugar and more salt). But more than my personal attachment to this recipe, I adore these authentic French Crêpes because they are extremely light and airy. They are super easy to make with a few basic ingredients only but can be easily customised to create many delicious variation. They can even be made into savoury crepes! Stainless steel crepe spreaders are much easier to clean since you can just pop them right in the dishwasher or soak them in the sink. They won’t rust, and they won’t get warped from being soaked or getting wet. This set also comes with an extra-large, wide spatula size with thin edges for perfect crepe flipping every time. When you’re not making crepes, you can use this on the stove to cook things like eggs or pancakes, or to heat tortillas or flatbreads. Since it's oven-safe, you can use it in the oven to cook personal pizzas, too. It can be cleaned in the dishwasher or washed by hand with hot soap and water. How do I know the crepe is ready to be flipped: Usually, looking at the edges is a good indication. They will start to crisp and lift up. You could also see some air bubbles in the middle of the crepes. When in doubt, simply lift up a side and look at the colour. It should be golden, but not too dark in colour. Lastly, mix in the vanilla (or other extract and flavor) and then cover and set aside to refrigerate for one hour before cooking. Ladle = La louche: To ladle the crepe batter onto the crepe maker. Choose your ladle according to the size of your crepe maker. Crepes are popular street food in France: Place the Butter and Milk in a heat-proof bowl or jug and heat up in the microwave until the butter has melted. Set aside to cool down. The word “Galette” is from old French “gale,” which was the word for a “smooth, round, flat pebble.” In modern French, the word for pebble is “Galet” (pronounced Gah-Lay).

If you’re looking for peak performance, look no further than the CucinaPro Electric Crêpe Maker, which boasts five temperature settings that helped this 12-inch model cook crêpes faster than any other electric options the Good Housekeeping Institute tested. The batter is lumpy: Try to whisk vigorously to break down the lumps. If some lumps still remain, simply use an Immersion Blender.

What are Crepes Made Of?

Cover and let sit for 30 minutes. (Some people like to put the batter in the fridge, but I let it sit at room temperature. When it comes to choosing the best crepe spreader to make all your weekend brunch dreams come true, there are some things to look out for. It’s made from a stainless steel handle, but the actual spreading part is silicone, which means it will be safe to use with your pans (no scratches!).
