Their bright colours are attractive and they are very tactile so I can see them appealing to people of all ages. They’re suitable from age 3 upwards and I can even imagine adults using them as stress relievers; they are very satisfying to play with.Once they take hold, it takes some pull to separate them. When Squigz POP! in protest - you’ll have to admit… your hands and ears are shamelessly delighted! This is a great way to up the complexity for older kids – great for sequencing, memory, and fine motor skills!

Using a balance beam to walk and pull squigz as they make their way to the end ( balance, reciprocal movement) I am using the Squigz to encourage the use of two-handed play. The nature of pulling the Squigz apart from one another utilizes both hands at the same time developing strength and coordination. Most of the Squigz pieces are large enough to not pose a choking hazard but there are a few smaller ones that land the toy an age range of 3 and up. This set also requires a good amount of hand strength and fine motor skills to connect and disconnect the pieces, so a younger child may grow frustrated with them.
These are a cinch to clean, whether you toss them in the dishwasher or simply leave them on a towel to dry after bath time. Price: Worth it This was bought for the 2 year old granddaughter. The six year old grandson immediately used Squigz pieces to transform the container onto an elaborate robot head. Both kids play with them. What I can share is our grandson got lost in play. Absolutely wonderful! And, he shared his items with his little brother in play. Nothing better. This toy required focus and intention which were both in action during play.
